Q 2. Where is the location of the College?

            College is well located, adjacent to Akurdi Railway station connected by road and train facility. It is well connected with Lonavala and Pune station and Local bus facility is available from various parts of Pune, Pimpri, Chinchwad and nearby places

Q 3. What is admission procedure?

The college has 60 intake capacities for B. Pharm. Out of that 80% seats filled through centralized admission procedure (CAP) and 20% seats filled through Institute level.

Q 4.  What are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission?

F.Y. B. Pharm .

i) The candidate should be an Indian National

ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (150 marks out of 300 marks) for general category &

at least 45% marks (135 marks out of 300 marks) in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)

iii) obtained score in MHT-CET-2018.

Direct S. Y. B. Pharm.

Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent..

F. Y. M. Pharm.

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from any All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),  Pharmacy Council of India(PCI) or Central or State; Government approved institution, with at least 55% marks (at least 50% marks in case of Backward Class category and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

(iii) Obtained score in Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2018) conducted by All India Council for Technical Education;

 (iv) For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

College fees are finalized by Fee Regulating Authority (FRA). Fee for academic year 2018-19, it is as follows, for B. Pharm (UG)  is Rs. 1,12,500/- and for M. Pharm (PG)  is Rs. 1,06,500/-

 Q 9. Whether hostel and canteen facility is available?

            Well furnished and spacious girls and boys hostel with capacity of 258 and 130 respectively, are available with facilities like hygienic food, gymnasium, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, on call medical help and 24x7 securities.  

Q 10. What is the reputation stage of institute?

            B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, and New Delhi. Both courses are recognized by Gov. of Maharashtra and Ph. D course affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune

Q. 11 Whether college provides campus placements facility?

            College has separate Training and Placement cell operating under the guidance of excellent Training & Placement officer. College is located in vicinity of various Pharmaceutical Industries which help us for training & placement. The college has excellent placement record and is within top 10 among University of Pune providing placement in different pharmaceutical sectors. Q. 12 What is average package for B. Pharm / M. Pharm students after placements?

It depends upon market forces and demand, but it remains approximately between 2-3 lakhs / annum for B. Pharm students and 3-4 lakhs/ annum for M. Pharm students.

Q. 13 What is placement percentage and minimum package?

The college has well placement record. Almost 90-100 % of interested students are placed in reputed pharmaceutical industries in diverse sectors.

Q. 14 What is Industry Exposure to students?

The College has MOU’s with different industries and active Industry Institute Interaction cell through which experts from industry visit the institute for interaction with the students for up gradation of knowledge and also student can perform short term projects, Industrial trainings.

 Q. 15 Does college conduct industry visits?

Every year the college organizes industrial visits to get an insight of industrial culture to the students. In 2016-17 College has organized Educational tour at Alkem Laboratories, Baddi, State- Himachal Pradesh, along with various tourist places

 Q. 18 Does college impart part time B. Pharm/ M. Pharm course?

No. B. Pharm is 4 years full time course, while M. Pharm is full time 2 years course.

Q. 19 Does College have any student welfare schemes?

The college has active NSS cell as well as Earn and Learn scheme for economically backward students.

Q. 20 What is procedure to avail loan facility?

College provides all necessary help to avail education loan through Oriental Bank of Commerce

All Pharmacy courses are job oriented courses and also has potential for self employment.

Q. 22 Is there any Uniform for these courses?

Yes, students are required to wear college uniform 4 days in a week as well as white Apron is compulsory for routine practicals.

Q. 23 What extracurricular activities are held in the College?

The Institute organizes Cultural events like Annual gathering, Days celebration, Debate competitions, Sports activities, and also encourages the students to participate in various Inter-collegiate events.

 Q 24 What is the minimum attendance required for appearing for final exams?

75% attendance for both theory and practical’s is mandatory for attending the final exams.

 Q 25 Can this course be learnt by distance education?

No.

 Q 26   Are there any options to select the subject during the course?

No, all the subjects during the four year B. Pharmacy course are compulsory

 Q 27   Is there any health care facility for students?

The campus has 24 hours emergency and ambulance service. The students are examined for a basic check up as soon as they join the college and later in case any need arises they are provided the best of services.

 

Q 28    How can I assure about students safety/ security

The students are not allowed to enter the campus without I-card, there is only one gate entry. The campus is under CCTV surveillance.
