An Educational Tour cum Excursion to Chandigarh-Shimla-Manali was arranged by Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy under the guidance of TPO incharge Ms. Shubangi Jadhav from 08 January 2017 to 15 January 2017. Total 44 students’ alongwith 04 faculty, Ms. Shubhangi Jadhav, Ms. Tejashree Deokule, Mr. Devendra Shirode and Mr. Mukesh Mohite were a part of this tour.  During this tour students’ visited the multinational Pharmaceutical company Alkem Laboratories Ltd. At Alkem Laboratories, students were guided by Mr. Ganesh More, Head, Quality Assurance Department, who explained the students about the various aspects of industry functioning. Along with industry visit, students’ also had a stopover at various scenic spots like solang valley, kufri, mall road, pinjor garden, rock garden, Shawl factory and so on.  

The main motto behind the conduct of this tour apart from industry visit was to develop strong bonding amongst the students, leadership skills, to make them aware of different aspects of the culture along with tackling the various day to day situations in such low temperatures.

The students extended their gratitude to Campus Director, Col. S. K. Joshi sir and Principal Dr. N. S. Vyawahare for their constant support and motivation. The tour concluded with wonderful memories and a lifetime experience for all the students.
